My AVON Story

I first joined AVON in 2010, after my Mum handed me a newspaper ad. I had been off work for almost 2 years having babies...Tegan now 2 years old and Dylan age 1. With my partner Steve and my friends all at work during the day I felt quite lonely, and really missed the social interaction of a working environment. With the ad in my hand, I thought why not, I phoned the number and had a lovely chat with a lady called Julia.

It was a couple of weeks later that the Area Manager  Sarah came to see me. She brought with her books and information to get me started with AVON. Having been up most the night before with poorly children I must have seemed to be the most unenthusiastic person. But I took in the information she had given me and was looking forward to having something I could focus my time on that was for me.

What started out as a hobby soon became a passion. As a Representative I was quickly gaining new customers and new friends too. Things really took off. It didn't take me long to realize AVON really did offer a wonderful earning opportunity. At this point I started to see the bigger picture. With a bit of hard work I could achieve a income that would allow my family to have nice holidays, visit places we would otherwise struggle to afford to pay for and we could go out for meals....not just the occasional McDonald's.

I chose to become a Sales Leader, recruiting and training my own team of reps from whom I would earn commission from. I now have a wonderful ever growing team, many of which are now some of my closest friends. As a team we often get together over coffee or meet up with our children...of course not every team member comes, some people just like to do their own thing which is fine, but they all know I am here for them if they need some help. Myself and a few of the girls recently got together and planned a AVON Pink Pamper Party for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It was a great night and we were all buzzing afterwards. I just love being able to assist each member of my team in getting their business off the ground and celebrating with them in their achievements.

My life has taken a complete u-turn in just under a year, I have gone from being bored and lonely to doing a rewarding job that I love and having a wonderful network of friends. The best part is, I fit in when I work around my family. So I can still do the school run, the nursery run, look after baby, do the house work and cook the dinners and make money to better the lives of my family.Everyone helps out too, my children love it...my eldest daughter Keely enjoys preparing my books, Tegan likes to post them through letter boxes and Dylan often comes recruiting with me. I am very fortunate to have a extremely supportive partner who praises my efforts and believes in me.

Being my own boss has given me total freedom to earn money on my own terms, who wouldn't want that?!
